MINI JOURNAL ENTRIES
+ MY ART INFLUENCES / 10 May, 2026The list changes constantly with a different kind of artists but as of today,Brian Froud, Arthur Rackham, Ara Güler, Sorie Kim, Vorja Sanchez, Bobby Rebholz, Ansel Adams, Joe Satriani.
+ OVERCOMING ART BLOCK / 5 May, 2026Ok, first of all, I try to see all the failures and negativity in my life as feedback. That makes me think, “What can I do about it?” Since art block visits me quite often, I came up with a written manifestation and a bunch of art exercises that have nothing to do with art fundamentals or studies =D Because that’s not fun. So the list consists of my interests and art mediums I like. Here it is, and by the way, it’s an ever-growing list! 🎨🪴

+ ART ADVICES THAT WORKS FOR ME / 1st May, 2026- Find your why. Dig about what tickles you, what you like. Set your goals. Create a daily routine for art time.
- Use simple and cheap materials at first. Allow yourself to fail. Always use reference photos.
- Track your progress and reflect on it. Create a sketch kit that goes everywhere with you.
- Observe, observe, observe.I might update this in time =F
+ WHAT ARE THE ART STUDIES AND HOW TO APPROACH IT AS A BEGINNER ARTIST? / 20 April, 2026There’s a helpful video I still use from time to time: Devin Elle Kurtz’s “You Can Draw Anything” (YouTube).Reflecting on why you want to make art and finding a strong motivation matters in the long-term. Is it self-expression? Learning to draw to impress others? Recording memories? Desire to become an artist?Shift your mindset to treat art as a journey, not an instant result. Lowering unrealistic expectations helps reduce frustration. You don’t need expensive materials. Stay open-minded, experiment, and make it fun. To beat the fear of a blank page, use iterations. Choose one subject and draw several variations. Ask questions like “What happens if I draw it this way?” or “What if I change this shape?”Keep an exploratory mindset even for “bad” results because they become a valuable feedback. To reduce pressure, don’t share your work right away, or share only with a community that offers constructive feedback from a similar or higher skill level.Analyze artists you love. Try slow looking.
